Man Gets Life in Prison for Blytheville Murder

BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. – A man convicted in a 2015 murder case is going to prison for the rest of his life.

Daniel Johnson, 24, was sentenced to life in prison plus 15 years for firearm enhancement by Mississippi County Circuit Judge Melissa Richardson, who followed the jury’s recommendation after Johnson was found guilty of first degree murder in the June 2015 shooting death of Vincent Stone, 23.

Second Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington announced Johnson’s conviction and sentencing in a news release issued late Wednesday.

Ellington said he wanted to thank the Blytheville Police Department and specifically Detective Ronnie McShan for their hard work investigating the case.
