LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – One of the victims from Saturday’s mass shooting is speaking out about her story of survival.

“It just scared me for my life,” said Dominque McClendon.

McClendon says she was inside Power Ultra Lounge in Little Rock early Saturday morning when dozens of shots rang out.

“Once you hear it and it don’t stop, it’s like your heart stops. “

As she and her friend heard it, Tasheara Slocum, they quickly hit the ground.

“All I could think about was the Florida … The Orlando situation. I’d never think would happen in Little Rock Arkansas.”
McClendon says she couldn’t find Slocum, but could see what people did to escape.
“People were running … People were jumping out the window … Like literally jumping out the window.”

She decided against jumping despite the barrage of bullets.

“I couldn’t do that because I was just thinking me jumping out of the window I’m going to kill myself.”
She eventually made her way outside and met up with another friend determined to survive.

“Me and her ran and we hid and got into this tunnel.” She’d soon find out Slocum had been shot and driven herself to the hospital.

“Once I heard that that just scared me because I’m like that’s my best friend and I’m not there and we came together.”

As she rushed to check on Slocum, she felt a burning sensation at the hospital.

“I’m checking myself because I’m in pain and my leg is numb.”

Dominique had been grazed by a bullet on her left ankle, making her one of at least 25 shot.

Despite being hit, she says it’s not as frightening if she would have lost her best friend, who she’s now made an internet sensation.

“This is like my best friend, my sister, my everything.”

Mcclendon says she hopes to see changes when it comes to security at night clubs.
