Unsolved Cases: Who Killed Junius Pitts?

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Over one year after his drive-by shooting death, Junius Pitts’ killer(s) is/are still on the loose — with a vague description of the suspect car the only piece of information to cling to.

Police believe 19-year-old Pitts was killed late Saturday, January 30, 2016, around midnight.

Police say it all started when, sometime late Saturday night (or early Sunday morning), Pitts left the Kum-N-Go Gas Station on Colonel Glenn Road.

A passenger who was in the car with Pitts at the time said they stopped at the intersection of Asher and Fair Park, and that’s when the gunshots rang out.

The passenger told police he believes the shots came from a white sedan also stopped at the intersection.

In an attempt to escape, the passenger said he helped steer the car out of the line of fire since Pitts had been shot and was impaired. They crashed into a parked car in the Advanced Window Tint and Alarm parking lot on Asher Ave.

The passenger told police he pulled Pitts out of the car and police were called to the scene.

Police arrived, greeted by a large crowd who had formed around Pitts, searching for clues and answers…

Over 13 months later, answers are still being sought, but to no avail — and one or multiple killers are still potentially on the streets.
