LITTLE ROCK, AR — Officials with the Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) say they have developed a person of interest in connection to Wednesday morning’s bank robberies.
Officers responded to the first robbery call at 10:41 Wednesday morning at Summit Bank on North Rodney Parham, then to a second at First Security Bank just 44 minutes later.
“It’s really important that we apprehend this individual,” said LRPD Spokeswoman Cassandra Davis. “I don’t know if there’s a potential for the third bank robbery with it or what the individual maybe capable of.”
The two banks are less than five miles apart.
In the first robbery, surveillance images show the suspect stopping to write something and then walking up to a teller. Police say he handed over a note that implied he had a weapon and demanded cash.
A final image shows the suspect leaving the bank with money in hand.
During the next hit, another surveillance image was taken at a First Security Bank off Kavanaugh Boulevard where police say the suspect walked in and handed over another note demanding cash.
Despite receiving differing descriptions of the suspect, LRPD says they believe the robberies were committed by the same person.
Police are not currently releasing the person of interest’s name.
