LITTLE ROCK, AR– Little Rock Fire Department needs your help keeping people cool in the scorching summer heat.
The station is collecting box fans to hand out to the needy.
Captain Randy Hickman says the department has not received any donations during the three-month drive.
Firefighters have started pulling together their own money to keep the capitol city cool .
“During this time the humidity and the heat is so high and you cant imagine somebody living without air-conditioning but there are a lot of people that live without inadequate air systems that relay on a fan,” says Captain Randy Hickmon.
If you are interested in donating, you can drop one off at any Little Rock Fire Station.
