LITTLE ROCK, AR – Little Rock Police say a man is under arrest on first degree murder charges for the deaths of two women.

Sergeant Cassandra Davis says Anthony L. Brooks, 27, of Little Rock, has been arrested in connection with two June homicides. 

In both cases, the bodies of the victims were found burned.

The first death was discovered back on June 19th. That’s when the body of Gloria Summage, 50, was found inside a burned house at 1909 E. 8th Street.

Then, on June 28th, the body of Amy May Hughett, 31, was found in a pile of burning tires behind a vacant business at 5115 Young Road on the city’s southwest side.

According to the jail roster of the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Brooks was arrested on June 28th on a terroristic threatening charge and held on $250,000 bond. His arrest record also notes a hold for parole officer.
