BENTON, AR – Benton Police are looking for two suspects who are wanted for the robbery of Malvern National Bank (1111 Military Road) on Monday afternoon.

At 4:16 Monday afternoon, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to Malvern National Bank on report of a robbery.

When officers arrived they learned that two robbers had fled the scene.

According to police, the two suspects entered the bank and then demanded money after showing a pistol to the clerk.

Police say the two suspects ran from the scene on foot in the direction of Ferguson Drive with an unrevealed amount of money.

Police describe the first suspect as a white male who was wearing a mask that resembled the ‘Mario Brothers’ video game character. The second suspect is described as a white female who was wearing dark colored sunglasses.

Detectives are diligently working the case, but anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Benton Police Department at (501) 778-1171 or (501)315-TIPS.

SALINE COUNTY, AR – The Saline Courier is reporting that the Malvern National Bank was robbed Monday afternoon at 4:10.

They are also reporting it happened on Military Road in Benton and the suspect was last seen wearing a white shirt and jeans heading towards McDonald’s on Military Road.
