LONOKE COUNTY, AR — Lonoke County deputies have arrested a man they believe kidnapped a woman who’s been missing since July.
Dennis Harrington faces kidnapping and domestic battery charges.
In an affidavit, two men tell detectives they saw Harrington and Rebecca Lauer together days before she disappeared.
They said Lauer was handcuffed and appeared beaten up.
The men told investigators Harrington tried to get them to have sex with Lauer, but they refused.
Detectives interviewed Harrington back in July when her mother reported her missing, but he claimed she left his house and was never seen again.
The sheriff’s department is following all leads.
“We’re hoping to develop some evidence pertaining to the case but still we’re asking the public to help us,” Lt. Jim Kulesa said.
