FORT SMITH, AR (KNWA) — Fort Smith Police are looking for a man they say used several fake names to get hydrocodone prescriptions.
According to investigators, Matthew Goldsmith, 38, used at least five alias names at different hospitals and clinics in Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Missouri and Arkansas.
On Feb. 27, police say Goldsmith went to a local clinic and used one of those fake names to get a hydrocodone prescription. Detectives say the first pharmacy he went to refused to fill his prescription, but a second pharmacy did.
After searching Goldsmith’s home in Greenwood, police say they also found fraudulent medical records.
Police have a felony warrant for Obtaining a Controlled Substance by Fraud for Goldsmith.
If you have any information about his whereabouts, contact Detective Paul Smith at (479) 709-5103.
