Missing One Year: Mother Asks For Leads In Son’s Case

Cabot, AR – A mother is asking for help finding her son. Steven Roach went missing nearly a year ago.

Authorities are still investigating and looking for leads. He went missing on June 30th, but on July 3rd his mother Teresa Roach had to make the call she never expected to make, to report her son missing.

Tears fill her eyes as she talks about her son. Steven was 24-years-old when he went missing nearly a year ago.

He was last seen on June 30th 2014 at Reeves Recycling in North Little Rock. A few weeks later, the truck he was driving was found in the woods in Mabelvale.

“Do you think foul play was involved?,” Reporter Stephanie Sharp asked.

“Yeah. I truly believe that,” Teresa answered.

One year without any leads leaves Teresa nearly speechless, but she believes someone could crack the case.

“Somebody knows something,” Teresa cries, “I don’t want revenge, I don’t want anything. I just to bring him home.”

She says Steven was a happy child.

“I was so proud of him. [He said], ‘Mom we’re going to the pumpkin patch.’ [And I said], ‘Good son, when you get out there get the biggest pumpkin you can.’ And he got the biggest pumpkin all right,” she said.

All she hopes for now is getting her son back home.

“I don’t care who it is. I’m not out to get anyone. All I want is someone to let me know where he’s at,” Teresa said.

Lonoke County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the case. If you know anything, call authorities.
