LITTLE ROCK, AR– A soldier missing in action since 1950 will finally be buried this week.
The remains of Corporal Marvin Omans returned home Friday. He enlisted in the army at age16, after completing the 8th grade.
After a mission in North Korea, he was reported missing, presumed to have died in the line of duty. Omans will be laid to rest at the Arkansas State Veterans’ cemetery in North Little Rock Monday morning at 11.
Corporal Oman’s remains were identified as part of “Operation Glory”, which identifies remains of war dead turned over to the United Nations. Oman was accounted for May 21.
