SALINE COUNTY, AR — A Saline County woman has been charged after investigators say her 15-month-old child tested positive for drugs.
21-year-old Shelby Nalley is being held on $25,000 bond.
The sheriff’s office says her child was being treated at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock due to injuries from a fall. After receiving a tip into the child abuse hotline about drug use in the house, investigators tested both the mother and child and found meth and THC in both their systems.
Nalley faces two felony charges.
DHS has placed the child under the care of a relative.
