Mountain Home Man Attacks Another Man With Baseball Bat

BAXTER COUNTY, AR – Timmy Wayne Gann, 45, of Mountain Home has been arrested on a felony charge of Aggravated Assault after deputies responded to a disturbance call early Sunday evening.

At 5:30 p.m. a sheriff’s deputy were dispatched to 41 Glenbriar Place on a call reporting a man being assaulted by another man with a baseball bat.

When the deputy arrived on scene, they found a bloodied male victim and called for an ambulance.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office a witness said that Gann had pulled up at the victim’s home in his vehicle, approached the victim with the bat and that’s when the witness said Gann began hitting the victim with the bat.

The victim was alert but had injuries to the head and upper body. The victim was taken to Baxter County Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

There is no other word on the condition of the victim.

The baseball bat was found near Gann’s vehicle and Gann was taken into custody.

Gann is being held on a $10,000 bond and will appear in court on October 16.

According to statements from various parties to the sheriff’s office, Gann and the victim were arguing about the outcome of a football game.
