The Pulaski County Special School District is adding 24 new buses to its fleet.
6 new buses arrived Tuesday. The rest will be rolling into the bus yard over the next couple of days.
Executive Director of Operations, Derek Scott, says it’s been a long time since PCSSD bought new buses. “It’s nice to go out on the road and know you’re in a reliable bus, a reliable piece of transportation to get you to and from your destination.”
PCSSD purchased the 24 new buses for $1.5 million and plans to spend that annually to replenish the fleet.
The buses will also have video cameras installed to monitor what’s going on at all times.
