LITTLE ROCK,AR – A newly formed student association at Little Rock public schools had their voices heard on Thursday.
Students from different high schools came together as the Little Rock School District Students Association.
The students walked in protest from the Board of Education to the Little Rock School District offices.
The students said they don’t like that the district was taken over and that they didn’t have a say in the matter.
“This is just to say that we are a community. We can stand together and we want rights. We want a say in our education. It’s our education, our voice, and our vote,” said AnDrea Hargrove, Parkview Senior.
Teachers also came out to support the students. The students said they will do everything they can so the Arkansas State Board of Education will hear them.
