NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR – An entertainment event later this week is expected to literally stop traffic.

Country music legend Garth Brooks takes the stage Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at Verizon Arena.

The North Little Rock Police Department (NLRPD) is advising rush hour commuters who usually travel I-30 to consider a different route.

The doors will open at 6 p.m. on Thursday. On Friday and Saturday they’ll open a little earlier at 5:30 p.m.

The NLRPD says about 17,000 people are expected at the event all three nights.

They’re warning drivers to stay away from the area by taking a different route if possible, to avoid long delays.
