LITTLE ROCK, AR — The Little Rock Police reports there were no injuries in an officer-involved shooting that happened at the 400 block of W. 26th Street on Wednesday around 10:40 a.m.

According to reports, SWAT was serving a high-risk, narcotics search warrant at a home where law enforcement believed multiple armed people were living.

Upon announcing their presence and entering the home, SWAT units could hear people moving frantically inside. An officer entered the back door and saw a suspect running down the hallway directly at him.

After the suspect ignored several commands to “show his hands” and “get on the ground” and then made motions to his waistband with his right hand, the officer fired a single shot. The suspect dived to the ground.

No one was hurt, and two suspects were taken into custody.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the officer who fired the shot was placed on administrative lead per department policy.
