MAUMELLE, AR — A non-profit organization in Maumelle helped people protect themselves from identity theft today.

Folks were allowed to bring in boxes of bills and other items and have them shredded for a small donation.

Money collected at the event benefits Counting On Each Other Inc., an organization that volunteers at the Maumelle Senior Center.

Vice Chairman Jim Payseno comments on what volunteering means to him.

“It’s cooking in the kitchen, it’s setting up the tables, it’s playing bingo. Just volunteer,” Payseno says.

Counting On Each Other Inc. also helps seniors get dental work if they can’t afford it themselves
