OAK GROVE, AR — A local fire chief passed away Tuesday night from injuries he suffered while in the line of duty earlier this month.
Oak Grove Fire Chief Randy Pogue was responding to a motor vehicle accident on Feb. 2 when his department pickup hit a patch of ice and crashed.
At the time of the accident, Pogue was conscious, however, he went into Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome once at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
Pogue had been in a medically induced coma since the day of the accident.
The Randy Pogue Benevolent Fund which has been established at 1st Arkansas Bank & Trust to help Pogue’s family.
