(Update April 29):
LITTLE ROCK, AR – LITTLE ROCK, AR – A Little Rock man is in custody at the Pulaski County Jail after firing shots at Little Rock Police officers on Monday.

On Monday April 28 officers checked the home at 12 Valley Dr. in Little Rock looking for Kordarrell Brewer, 26, of Little Rock who had an active warrant for First Degree Battery.

According to police when they arrived at the above address they saw Brewer and another unknown man outside the home. Police say Brewer fired several shots at them and then fled on foot. Officers say they returned fire.

Officers apprehended Brewer at 4 Valley Drive and then took him into custody.

Brewer was taken to UAMS where he was treated and released to police for questioning.

Brewer was charged with three counts of Criminal Attempt to Commit Capitol Murder, served warrant #635655 for Battery 1st and warrant #635654 for Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons.

LITTLE ROCK, AR — One person is in custody after firing shots at Little Rock Police officers. It happened just after 5:00 p.m. on Valley Drive.

According to LRPD, members of the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) were trying to serve a warrant at 12 Valley Drive. That’s when officers say the person pulled out a weapon and started shooting at them. Police say the officers fired back, but the person took off running. After a short chase, police arrested the shooter.

Officers tells us the shooter was taken to the hospital, though the injury was not related to the shooting. No officers were hurt.

The shooter is now in custody for first degree battery, though additional charges pending. Police are not releasing the shooter’s name at this time.
