LONOKE, Ark. — Crews doing maintenance to the Highway 31 overpass will require lane closures on Interstate 40 and Highway 31 next week in Lonoke, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
The Highway 31 overpass is located at Exit 175 on Interstate 40 in Lonoke. The project will require the eastbound outside lane of Interstate 40 to be closed Monday, March 11 and Tuesday, March 12.
The westbound outside lane will be closed Wednesday, March 13 and Thursday March 14. The eastbound and westbound lane closures will be in effect between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
In addition, temporary lane closures will be necessary at the same times on the Highway 31 overpass. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers and warning signs.
Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
