LITTLE ROCK, AR – The State Board of Education has voted against a recommendation from the governor and decided to remain with the PARCC testing system for the next year.

The vote came late Thursday morning during a meeting in Little Rock.

The tally was 7-1.

Earlier this week, Gov. Asa Hutchinson approved the recommendation of the Council on Common Core Review to do away with the PARCC test and instead have students take the ACT.
