BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) – A Pennsylvania man has been arrested after being accused of posting provocative videos of his former girlfriend to porn sites, according to a Benton County probable cause affidavit.
Andrew Jeffrey Yob, 25, from Northampton Borough, Pennsylvania, is facing charges of felony sexual extortion and misdemeanor unlawful distribution of sexual images or recording and is being held at the Benton County jail.
The woman went to police with a complaint against Yob in the summer of 2018.
She explained that she began an online relationship, through various internet apps, with Yob in late November or early December of 2017, according to the affidavit.
They video chatted almost every night, “because that’s what Yob wanted,” the woman told police. She admitted she would drink while they chatted, and he would ask her to disrobe and perform sexual acts — which she did. The woman also said Yob was controlling and manipulative during their conversations, according to the affidavit.
The woman told police she didn’t know about the recordings until they broke up in early 2018.
The victim told police she tried to break off the relationship but he would threaten to share the graphic videos or take his life, according to the affidavit.
On Friday, July 13, 2018, a woman called Bentonville police to report that Yob had uploaded a sexual compromising video of her to a porn site. She also stated Yob messaged her the same day as the upload and said, “Cross me again, I’ll make sure things get around to your close friends’ group. You got anything to say now?”
A police subpoena of the website gave an upload IP address and from there, authorities traced it to Yob’s Pennsylvania address.
During the interview process with BPD, Yob said he was off his medications and that’s what put him “in a state of mind to do that,” according to the affidavit.
Yob is at the Benton County Jail on a $50,000 bond, his court date is May 13.
