PEA RIDGE, AR (KNWA) – A Pea Ridge family loses their home and two pets in a fire Monday morning.
It happened on Washburn Dr. around 8:30 am. Firefighters say the fire appears to have started on the back end of house. They say the home is a total loss and two pets, a dog and a cat, were killed in the fire.
Homeowner Jeremy Bott says he’s just thankful for what he has left.
“Unfortunately we lost two family members but we have the three children and that’s awesome, it’s a blessing and that’s all we can say, everything else is replaceable,” Bott says.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Firefighters say the Bott family is staying with neighbors, and the Red Cross is assisting.
