PINE BLUFF, Ark. — The Pine Bluff Arsenal is preparing for possible furlough days.
According to its commander, furlough days could come as a result of sequestration, as federal funding cuts are expected to go into effect on Friday.
The Arsenal is preparing for 22 non-consecutive furlough days for civilian workers, which could impact 860 of the Arsenal’s workers by essentially making work weeks one day shorter.
The Arsenal remains operational, though the commander said they will wait and see what comes next.
