BENTON, AR – A man banned from Walmarts nationwide is arrested for shoplifting at the Benton store. 

On Tuesday (May 5) around 11:10 p.m, Benton police arrived at Walmart. Employees told officers that the suspect, identified as Anthony Wright, 43, from Pine Bluff fled the store after he was confronted  for attempting to steal over $500 worth of perfume and cologne. 

Wright was located in at Murphy USA trying to catch a ride and taken into custody. 

Before this incident, Wright was wanted after a television was stolen from the same Walmart on Sunday (May 3). 

Previous incidents banned Wright from all Walmarts in the nation. 

Wright was transported to Saline County Detention Facility and faces two counts of commercial burglary, two counts of shopping lifting and public intoxication. 

He also had active warrants out of Bryant and North Little Rock. 

The investigation is on going.
