Police: Benton Sex Offender Wanted on Registration, Theft Charges

BENTON, AR – The Benton Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a registered sex offender for registration violations and theft charges.

Police say Bobby Poe, 45, of Benton, has an active warrant for Failure to Comply with Registration and Reporting Requirements, and for Theft of Property.

According to police Poe was living in a motor home at the I-30 Travel Park recently when he suddenly left the area without reporting a change of address.

Police believe Poe took the motorhome, which didn’t belong to him, and fled to Texas in it. The motorhome was located earlier this week by the Dallas Police Department, but Poe’s whereabouts are still unknown.

Most of Poe’s ties are in the Central Arkansas area so police believe he will make his way back here eventually.
Poe was also arrested last month on failure to comply with registration charges.

Anyone with information about this crime or Poe’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Benton Police Department at 501-778-1171 or(501) 315-TIPS. Individuals also may send us an anonymous crime tip about this incident to CRIMES (274637) with the keyword BNPD in the body of the text or go to www.crimereports.com to leave a tip.
