YELL COUNTY, AR (KNWA) – Multiple police agencies team up and bust dozens of accused drug dealers in Arkansas.
Danville Police along the drug task force and Yell County Sheriff’s Office set out with more than 25 warrants Wednesday, for Danville and surrounding areas. People accused of selling prescription drugs, meth and pot were arrested.
Rick Padgett, Danville Police Chief, is calling the busts a win and hopes getting dealers off his streets will help cut down other crimes in the community.
He wouldn’t name suspects but Padgett says the small town’s drug problem touches nearly every demographic.
“It’s wide open you see a variety of people, a variety of different ages, backgrounds. Nobody is immune to this,” Chief Padgett said.
