LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Police are investigating a Wednesday night commercial burglary.

Little Rock Police say the incident happened on W. 61st Street.

According to the police report, the owner, Mack Fazeli, left the business around 8:15 p.m. after changing the lock on the building.

Fazeli said when he showed up Thursday morning a window on the east side of the building had been busted out and a door had been pried on. He that a fan and a bar he had placed in front of the door on the east side of building were removed from the position they were in, leaving the door unlocked.

Items stolen from the business: an antique chair and miscellaneous clothes.

According to the owner, he had recently evicted a woman, Linda Lewis, because she was renting the building out to someone else which violated the contract. He also said that Lewis had never paid him any rent for the facility since she started renting it from him.

When Fazeli spoke with Lewis and she said that it was a man, Jarian Giante, who she was renting the building out to and that those were his dresses that were stolen from inside the building and were not hers. Lewis and Giante were not at the scene, according to police.

Police say they were not able to lift any prints from the glass due to Giante having access to the building prior to the incident.
