ALEXANDER, AR – Members with Stop the Violence, an organization that aims to reduce crime in minority communities say if people know who did the crime they are as guilty as the criminals if they don’t speak out and tell the police.

With about 20 witnesses they say someone has to know what happened, why and by whom.

“This no snitching thing that’s going on in the black community it’s just gonna have to stop. It’s been very detrimental to our community.”

“It’s just time for us to come together so our streets can be safer for our community and for our kids so they can play in the neighborhoods again.”

People laid out flowers in front of the house where Joe Dickonson of Little Rock and Patricia Tucker of Alexander were killed Friday night.

Some people said they think witnesses will soon speak out.

I spoke with some neighbors today who say they’re still in shock over this shooting because people throw gambling parties every weekend and there has never been a problem.
