HOT SPRINGS, AR — It may not be an election year just yet, but it’s already starting to look like a campaign in Hot Springs.
All four candidates who have announced plans to run for governor were on stage together Tuesday at an educator’s conference.
This is the first time we’ve seen Republicans Curtis Coleman, Debra Hobbs and Asa Hutchinson joined with Democrat Mike Ross at the same event.
The public school resource center hosted the conference, comprised of many superintendents from across the state who want to hear from the likely next governor of Arkansas.
The first big question the candidates faced was about the long-running Pulaski County desegregation case, which effects the whole state with $70 million in taxpayer dollars every year going to three districts.
