Pulaski Co. Deputy Arrested for Contraband Drop

LITTLE ROCK, AR – A Pulaski County deputy is arrested after being involved with a contraband drop. 

On Thursday, investigators intercepted a jail phone call between an inmate, Wesley Wooley III, and his father, Wesley Wooley. 

Wooley III told to his father that a drop would occur in a deputy’s vehicle at the jail. According to the sheriff’s office, surveillance was established on Deputy Kyle Guyer’s vehicle. Wooley was seen placing a package inside the vehicle and was immediately taken into custody. 

A second vehicle occupied by Lisa Gray and another woman arrived with a second package. Gray placed it in the vehicle. Both were detained. 

Deputy Guyer walked to his vehicle, retrieved one of the packages and walked to the jail. When investigators approached him, he placed the package in the trash and walked to the break room where he was taken into custody. 

The package contained tobacco, candy and money. The second package was taken from the car. It contained a smokeless tobacco can with a thin layer of tobacco covering a hidden amount of marijuana and meth. 

The suspects face the following charges: 

Wesley Wooley III – Attempt to possess prohibited articles and Use of a Communication Device to Facilitate Certain
Crimes.

Lisa Gray –Furnishing Prohibited Articles, Use of a Communication Device, Possession of Marijuana with Purpose to Deliver, Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Deputy Kyle Guyer–Use of a Communication Device to Facilitate Certain Crimes, Criminal Attempt to Furnish Prohibited Articles (Schedule II Methamphetamine), Criminal Attempt to Furnish Prohibited Articles (Schedule VI Marijuana), Furnishing Prohibited Articles and Unauthorized Use of Another’s Property.
