LITTLE ROCK, AR – A Magnolia woman has died in an accident on a rain-slickened road in Ouachita County.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. Sunday along Hwy. 79 near County Road 5.
The Arkansas State Police accident report identifies the victim as Brittney Chappel, 20. She was a passenger in a 2005 Ford Mustang that left the road when the driver lost control.
Troopers say the vehicle spin counterclockwise, overturned and hit a tree on the passenger side.
The driver, a 19-year-old woman from Camden, was injured but there’s no further word on her condition.
The accident report notes it was raining at the time of the accident and the road was wet.
