LITTLE ROCK, AR — When it rains, the water must go somewhere and sometimes it spills into the roadway.
Monday, about 60 Pulaski County workers cleared water over roads. Crews started in the morning around four to fix the root of the problem, debris clogging drainage pipes. Supervisor Danny Case says a serious safety issue is presented when water flows onto county streets.
“It’s a big one. That’s why we try to go out and put barricades on the road and tell people before they go to hit the water,” said Case.
Meteorologists say more rain will come tomorrow, so crews will remain on standby throughout the night.
“When the streams get full, the ditches get full, and the roads are covered,” said Case.
