Three tornadoes were confirmed in Arkansas after severe storms ravaged the state Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Little Rock has confirmed an EF-1 tornado in southeastern Pulaski County and Lonoke County Saturday.
Per the report, the tornado touched down near Estes and traveled northeast about 6.4 miles where it lifted from the ground around Toltec.
The tornado was 150 yards wide and had wind speeds between 86 and 110 mph.
The tornado destroyed two mobile homes in the area. Two people suffered minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
Sunday afternoon, another survey crew from the NWS analyzed storm damage in Logan County. Damage near Scranton was determined to be from straight-line winds, not a tornado.
The NWS estimates wind speeds of 80-90 mph, which is similar to the wind speeds of a weak tornado.
While tornado debris typically has a curvature to the layout from inflow/outflow of winds, straight-line wind damage results in debris parallel to ouflow.
The NWS confirmed two more tornadoes in Lonoke and Prairie County.
An EF-1 tornado touched down Carlisle in Lonoke County. The tornado was on the ground for about 10.8 miles with a path width of 300 yards. Estimated wind speeds were 110 mph.
Another tornado has been confirmed in Prairie County near Slovak. No rating has been disclosed, but the tornado was captured on video Saturday morning.
