LITTLE ROCK, AR — The University of Arkansas-Criminal Justice Institute is hosting hostage negotiation sessions for school resource officers this week after performing active shooter training in August.
Law enforcement agencies say seminars like this help to keep up with new technologies and new practices to prevent and handle school violence situations.
“We work out practical scenarios, and we are constantly evaluating and reevaluating how to do better. It served to keep everyone safe,” says Kim Brunell, FBI.
