LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A new sculpture at Little Rock’s River Market is to be dedicated.
The work by Ron Chapel was chosen from 19 proposals submitted by artists in a competition to win a place at the area in downtown Little Rock. The sculpture made of steel, glass and bronze, is to be dedicated at 2 p.m. Friday.
Organizers say another contest is already under way and 36 proposals have already been submitted.
Ron Chapel received $50,000 to install the work. The winner in the next competition will get $60,000.
