SEARCY, AR – A Searcy sex offender is behind bars after police say he failed to register with police.
On Tuesday detectives with the Crimes Against Women unit arrested level 3 Sex Offender, Robert Long, 47, for failing to inform authorities that he changed his current home address.
Detectives learned that Long moved from Searcy to the city of Kensett and changed his phone number along with his vehicle which are all violations.
Long was interviewed and later taken to the White County Law Enforcement Center where his bond was set at $20,000 for Failure to Comply with Registration and Reporting Requirements of the Sex Offender Act of 1997, a Class C Felony.
