LONOKE COUNTY, AR – A local sheriff’s deputy and his wife have both been arrested on battery charges.
Their arrests followed the investigation of a disturbance at a home on Black Jack Rd. Tuesday morning.
Deputies with the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) were called to the scene around 8.
Jack Fitzhugh, 41, and Kathrine Fitzhugh, 40, were each arrested on a charge of domestic battery, 3rd degree.
The LCSO says Mr. Fitzhugh is a Corporal assigned to its patrol division and Mrs. Fitzhugh is a volunteer Auxiliary Deputy and also a full time police officer with Pulaski Tech.
Both have been placed on administrative suspension pending the completion of an investigation by the Arkansas State Police.
