Significant Damage to Entergy AR System in Thursday Storms

LITTLE ROCK, AR – Entergy Arkansas reports via its Facebook page that Thursday storms did “significant damage” to the company’s electrical system.

Pine Bluff was one of the hardest hit areas in last night’s storm, Entergy said.

Power outages for Entergy reached a peak of 62,000 last night. By 10:30 Friday morning, those outages were reduced by more than half. The largest number of outages were in Jefferson and Grant counties.

Entergy says thanks to utilities in GA, TN, MI, and LA, it has several hundred more linemen coming to assist us in getting the lights back on. Power is expected to be restored to most by midnight, if not sooner.
