SILOAM SPRINGS, AR (KNWA) – Police are searching for a man they say was performing dental procedures without a license.
Investigators say Jesus Enrique Lopez-Portillo claimed to be a “missionary dentist” and offered dental services in patients’ homes at a discounted rate in September of 2014. According to police he targeted Spanish-speaking families.
Officers say his victims have had to have additional dental work done to fix the damage he caused.
“There could be many more victims who have not reported this crime. Lopez-Portillo is dangerous and we need help from the community to find him,” says Sergeant Todd Brakeville.
Police say Lopez-Portillo works with a woman named Gudelia Betancourt. She drives a silver 2002 Chevy Tahoe with the license plate 140JOW.
If you have any information on either one of these people, contact Siloam Springs police at 479-524-4118, ext. 2215.
