LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) – Facing up to a week without electricity, Arkansans are seeking different ways to stay warm after a Christmas Day blizzard.

Up to 15 inches of snow fell on parts of Arkansas on Tuesday night and Wednesday, and with high winds knocked out power to more than 200,000 homes and businesses. Some people could be without power until New Year’s Day or later.

In hard-hit central Arkansas, Deena Brazell said she slept in her car Wednesday night because it was warmer than her apartment. She said she had gone to her car to charge a phone, then fell asleep, then decided to stay put after waking up.

Office-park landlords say they have heard of tenants camping out in their offices. Many Little Rock hotels are filled with local refugees.
