SPRINGDALE, AR (KNWA) – Springdale police say a high risk convicted sex offender lied to officers about where he was living.
Demain Martinez, 40, is a Level Three, high risk sex offender. According to investigators, Martinez did not update his verification paperwork on time. Officers say they later discovered that he was secretly living in a home on Norfolk Avenue, and not the address he listed on his paperwork.
He faces a charge of failing to register as a sex offender.
Martinez was previously arrested for sexual assault, indecent liberties with a minor and interference with a police officer.
