LONOKE, AR – A stolen vehicle has been recovered by the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO).
The agency says just after midnight Monday, a deputy on patrol in the South Bend community came across a truck with the cargo lights on sitting in the drive of a home on Phillips Road.
Due to the recent thefts in the area the deputy checked the vehicle and spoke to a man who lives at the home. A check of the license plate showed the vehicle, a 2005 black Nissan Titan, to have been reported stolen from Benton.
After further investigation, the deputy learned that the truck was driven to the home by the man’s friend, identified as Amanda M. Vance, 29, of Benton. She was arrested for theft by receiving.
“Those in our communities who wish to commit criminal acts will not be tolerated. They will be arrested and held accountable,” said Sheriff John Staley in a news release.
