Store Owner Offers Reward For Return of Missing Mascot

BRYANT, AR — A 6’00” mascot has been stolen from a Bryant business and the owner is willing to pay big money for its return.

Surveillance video — from last Thursday night — shows two people (a man and a woman) taking “Chip” from the store. That store is Pro Gadget Fix and it’s located on Main Street near Walmart.

The wood and metal sign is worth about $2500 and the owner says it’s helped to bring in business for years because many people recognize the mascot.

Pro Gadget Fix is a computer repair shop and “Chip” represents the frustration we’ve all experienced when our electronics don’t work. He’s got an angry look and is kicking whatever piece of equipment may not be working.

But now, he’s missing and John Bergin says his profits may be too if the mascot isn’t returned soon.

Bergin said, “He’s going to stand out really well so if he’s somewhere out there where someone sees him, you know it’ll be easy to identify him among the other mascots.”

The owner will pay $500 for information that leads to “Chip’s” return, along with arrests and prosecution of the people responsible. Call Bryant Police if you have any tips on this case.
