LITTLE ROCK, AR — Arkansas Baptist College students say someone keeps pulling the fire alarm in the campus dorm and it caused huge problems Monday night.
Students say someone pulled the alarm a couple times Monday evening, and campus security officers went into the dorm asking students to leave.
FOX16 talked to some students who said they were pepper sprayed when they tried to get back into the dorm and were told to stay in the gymnasium for the evening.
Late Monday evening, FOX16 did reach Laquisha Newton with the College.
“Students pulled one too many fire alarms,” she said. “They were escorted to the gym so school officials could talk to them about what happened.”
She said pepper spray was used, but only after students became belligerent.
Newton says this is a safety issue and that it would not be taken lightly.
The school continues to investigate.
No one was hurt.
