STUTTGART, AR — The holidays were difficult for one local woman, but tomorrow she says will be even worse.

Sunday would have been a day of celebration for Valerie Worring and her family. It’s her dad’s 63rd birthday, but he’s been missing for more than five weeks — from Stuttgart — and no one seems to know where he is.

After Bill Gibbs went missing Thanksgiving Day, family and friends searched the area his truck was found on Hartz Seed Road in Stuttgart.

His daughter, Valerie Worring, said, “Too many things are just awkward, weird somebody has got to know something though.”

More than a month later, Worring never thought he would still be missing. She suffered through the holidays without her father.

She said, “Hard. It didn’t seem like Christmas. We were just going through the motions.”

And Worring says she’s dreading her dad’s birthday — on Sunday — too.

She said, “My son wants to make him a birthday cake.”

Normally Worring would go to a Mexican restaurant with her dad and give him his gift, but this birthday will be spent much different.

Worring said, “I don’t know what I’m going to do on a day to day basis. Every day I just wake up what do I do next what can I do next?”

Arkansas State Police are investigating the disappearance of Gibbs. His family says he left his wallet and cell phone at his home and his truck was found in a ditch — still running — on November 28th.

Worring said, “This is just the unknown. You go through all the different scenarios in your head of what could it be and you just don’t know.”

There’s a $10,000 reward leading to the information of Gibbs’ whereabouts. If you know anything about this case, call Arkansas State Police.
