LITTLE ROCK, AR – As the debate continues about the Confederate flag, two Central Arkansas communities are preparing to hold events in support of it.
They’re both being held on Sunday. One is in Conway, the other in Russellville and both are posted on Facebook.
The Conway event is being called the Arkansas State Flag And Confederate Battle Flag Rally. It’s taking place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hwy. 286 overpass on Interstate 40.
The Russellville event is being called the Pope County Rebel Ride. It’s taking place from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dardanelle Lock and Dam. The gathering also includes a canned food collection drive with donations going to the Main Street Mission.
