FAULKNER COUNTY, AR – One person has been arrested and another awaiting charges following a home invasion in Damascus on Friday night.
Faulkner County deputies were called to a home on Poole Lane in Damascus on a possible home invasion call. FCSO responded to the home and spoke to the victim who was also the home owner. The victim told authorities that someone had broken out one of her bedroom windows while she was asleep.
According to a report, she got up to investigate and saw a white male, 6 feet tall, blonde hair and mustache standing in her room.
She said that the suspect had gotten in through the window and shoved her back onto her bed. The suspect then picked up a shotgun that was in the corner of the room and pointed it at her.
According to the victim a friend was asleep on the couch at the time of the invasion. At some point during the incident the suspect held a knife to the friend’s throat. While the suspect was in the bedroom, the friend grabbed a small handgun, went to the bedroom and fired once at the suspect.
The suspect then jumped back out of the window and fled on foot. After the shot was fired, the second victim said he was struck in the back by a white female.
The female suspect also fled the home in an unknown direction. Deputies cleared the home to secure the scene and found the knife and the suspect’s cell phone. Dispatch called the surrounding Hospitals to see if anyone had come in with a possible gunshot wound.
A few minutes later, Van Buren County advised that a male with a gunshot wound came into the E.R. in Clinton with a white female.
Clinton Police went to the E.R. and arrested the female identified as Tonya Mannon, 40. Mannon was taken back to Faulkner County for interviews.
The suspect, Jonathan Hill, 36, was taken by the hospital to Conway Regional E.R. where he underwent surgery for a gunshot wound to his abdomen area.
He is currently still in the hospital awaiting charges. The incident is still under investigation by Faulkner County Investigators.
