LITTLE ROCK, AR – A juvenile is behind bars after an early morning stabbing and carjacking.

On November 30 at 1 a.m. Little Rock police officers were called to Zimmerman’s Exxon for a stabbing.

When officers arrived on scene they saw two men holding the victim, who was later identified as Michael Armstrong, 30, of Little Rock trying to comfort him and keep him calm.

After Armstrong was taken to UAMS he was able to tell police a black male stabbed him and took his white Windstar van.

Armstrong described the suspect as being 6 feet tall with a slender build, wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, and also wearing a beanie hat with a marijuana logo on it.

Armstrong told police he and his friends were filming a short horror movie at his home when he decided to go to the Exxon for some coffee.

Police say after Armstrong paid for his drinks and went outside to his vehicle, the suspect followed him, gave Armstrong $5 and asked Armstrong to buy him cigars with it.

Armstrong told police he agreed and went back inside the business to purchase the cigars. When he came back outside, that’s when police say the suspect stabbed Armstrong twice in the back and stole his van.

Armstrong was able to go back inside the business and call 911.

Little Rock Police were able to find the van with the 17-year-old suspect inside who has not been identified.

The suspect is being charged with Aggravated Robbery, Battery 1st and Theft of Property.
